My name is Shoshana Cramer, but I started out many years ago in South Africa as Estelle Cramer. I have two sons, Gil who will be 29 and lives in London, Meiron who will be 27 and lives with his wife Bracha in Mevasseret Tzion and they are expecting their first child in January.
I have worked in offices all my working life. For the last 1.5 years before making Aliyah I worked for a group of advocates and had 57 bosses! I have always had a pet, either a Labrador dog called Sheba, cockatiel (who was originally Gil’s bird) called Tiger, or a kitten called Ellie.
I have a very soft spot for elephants and have been up close and personal with them. I have had the extreme pleasure and privilege to have ridden and African elephant before I left South Africa.
I made Aliyah about 2 and a half years ago and my first choice was to live in Modi’in. I work as a postpartum doula, helping couples cope with their new baby if it is their first child or subsequent child. I also sew baby quilts and plata covers as well as simple alterations. I also have dogs over for vacations when their owners go out of town.
I joined TM to enable me to stand up in front of strangers (who have become friends) and have the ability to speak on any subject planed or off the cuff. My memory often lets me down, but in the warm atmosphere, amongst friends we are all there to help each other.
